Lara is a Maldivian freelance writer of contemporary romance, fantasy and paranormal fictions. All her stories are published on online websites. They are all well-known local news websites. She writes under the pseudonym “LARA”. All her stories are written in her native language – Dhivehi.
Like many writers, Lara began writing in her childhood days. In early 2000, she started to publish her stories. She penned her first work of fiction on Muraasil, a crowd-based wesbite opened for anyone who want to write, After that she became an established writer.
She writes long stories, it’s her cup of tea. She has won readers’ heart with her compelling and highly emotional stories about women and the realtionships that define their lives. She is especially known for keeping readers on the edge and creating characters who seem real. In her story’s fictions become a reality.
On requests, she writes short stories. One of her short story is published on grade 5 students, Dhivehi Text Book.
Always an avid reader, She enjoys books of all kinds, but favors Romance (of-course) and Fantasy. She loves spending time with her cats and family. Alhamdhulillah! Lara is happily married and takes extreme precautions to keep her personal life private from social media.

Writing is such a solitary, all-consuming pursuit. She sits in her study with her cats for company, having conversations with imaginary people, and touch hearts and minds of real people on the other side of the world. Isn’t it incredible?
